The Department of Architecture of Roma Tre University (DArch3) has a multidisciplinary structure, spanning between the Architectural Design and the Structural Design. Various Lab of the Department are involved in research areas connected to Structural and Geometrical Modeling, Surveying and Monitoring. In particular the LiMES lab (Lab. of Applied Mathematics and Structural Mechanics) is active, among other things, on research projects about Applied Mathematical models for Structural identification (Dynamic identification, Damage identification) and Structural Models (FE and simplified models) for dynamic characterization of buildings and bridges; and the RilTec lab (Lab. of Digital Surveying) that develops researches about 3D architectural, archaeological and urban surveying, GIS based analysis and design, digital communication via augmented reality.
The actual working group summarizes some of the described multidisciplinary skills, and takes his strength from the ability of merging the mathematical and structural modeling tools with the geometrical and 3D surveying tools.
